Disgusted is really the best word to describe how I felt after hearing about the CouchDB pr0n presentation at the Golden Gate Ruby Conference. My friend Virginia DeBolt offers some good perspective in A Tipping Point for Women in Tech? Here's Hoping

Whenever I remember and have time, I try to catch Layer Tennis. The Draplin vs. Glass match has been my hands-down favorite thus far. Video, hand sketches and vector art. Oh my!

The last thing I need is another t-shirt. Strike that. The last thing I need is another geek t-shirt. But this ExpressionEngine shirt has me drooling. I need everyone to know how much I love EE … and how big of a dork I am.

Chemistry was never my schtick. I sucked at it and at math in school. But I think if we had learning tools like this Oxygen video, things might've been different for me. In fact, I'm resentful now. If my chemistry teacher, Mr. Downs, had been a better educator, I would now be accepting the Nobel Peace Prize in science. I'm sure of it.

Like everyone else on the interwebs, I stumbled across Awkward Family Photos for an hour of procrasinating delight. Until I encountered The Wonder Years. So. Very. Wrong.

Earlier this year, I wrote about a new microformats pattern developed to address accessibility and usability concerns. I am nothing short of ecstatic that the value class pattern has been officially released. Can't wait to find time to update all my implementations.

Dick in a Box is probably my all-time favorite SNL digital short. But the new Mother Lover is giving it a run for it's money. Cheesy mustaches + "I'm gonna be the syrup, she can be my waffle" = uncontrollable giggling.

The Firebug extension for Firefox has long been the star of my design/develop/debug toolbox. It is now even better with Firefinder, which finds HTML elements matching CSS selectors and/or XPath Expressions.

Douchebags abound these days. Do your part to stop the epidemic with these friendly "You are a douchebag" cards. And don't forget to support SHHH (The Society for Handheld Hushing) while you are at it.

I will delete off-topic, inflammatory or anonymous comments. And, as much as I like compliments, if your comment is something along the lines of "great post, I'll pass it along," I'm gonna assume it is spam (especially if you don't provide a "real" name) and will delete it. So, add something useful to the conversation or don't comment at all.

If you don't like the picture I chose for your comment, quit whining and get a Gravatar account.
