With my busy schedule, it seems that the Useful Tweets weekly series has become bi-monthly. I've accepted this. I hope you can too.

So, without any further delay, here are links from the past two weeks of tweets that I (loosely) deem useful.

April 19 – May 3, 2009

While I like robots as much as the next gal, these SquishBots seem slightly creepy. And then I think, they sound a lot like "Robo-boners." And then I'm not creeped out anymore, because robo-boners are nothing new. Vibrator.

With my fondness for microformats, it's no surprise I'm digging the idea of rel-accessibility.

The W3C's How People with Disabilities Use the Web features some great user scenarios and is written without too much tech-speak.

Like many lucky folks, I work with idiots. This Cyanide and Happiness comic captures exactly what I'd like to say to these "unique" people (whom I often refer to as "fucktards").

Any beer enthusiast should know how to properly pour a beer. And, no, Budweiser doesn't count. You can chug that shit straight from the can.

Stumbled across a great interview with the creator of Accessible Twitter. Not only was it nice to hear a developer talk about evolving accessibility, but I didn't even know there was an accessible Twitter application.

I never liked the 2001 remake of Ocean's Eleven. Unlike most everyone else on the planet, I don't care for Pitt or Clooney. Now, Kermit and Fozzie, on the other hand … droolworthy in Henson's 11.

I don't care how high-tech Crocs get, they still make you look like a douchebag.

While I had no interest whatsoever in any of the Gmail themes, I'm in complete love with this Google Redesigned Firefox extension. Skins GMail, Google Calendar and Google Reader.

More shit that I want, but completely don't need: Adobe application pillows.

Not like I have any time for wasting, but the Twitter visualizer, Visible Tweets is quite effective for procrastination purposes. Great animations and transitions.

The much-anticipated (at least I was) Devote:ee site launched last week, full of goodies: plug-ins, extensions, modules, tutorials and more for ExpressionEngine.

Designing and developing WCAG 2.0-compliant sites and applications is a challenge … to say the least. But a necessary one. And One Guideline A Day helps to make WCAG 2.0 easy with a daily tutorial/article covering one part of the guidelines. Easy–to–understand language and good examples.

Oh hey! Have you heard of this "swine flu" epidemic!? You should see if you have swine flu.

I am so ridiculously happy that the value-class pattern for microformats has been officially announced. I hope this goes a long way toward addressing accessibility and usability concerns.

I will delete off-topic, inflammatory or anonymous comments. And, as much as I like compliments, if your comment is something along the lines of "great post, I'll pass it along," I'm gonna assume it is spam (especially if you don't provide a "real" name) and will delete it. So, add something useful to the conversation or don't comment at all.

If you don't like the picture I chose for your comment, quit whining and get a Gravatar account.

Yeah, that would be me: .

I'm a web designer living in Albuquerque, New Mexico 87106 USA, and I'm a "standardista."

I specialize in hand-coding semantic (X)HTML and CSS, designing accessible web sites, and writing and optimizing web content.

A Blog Not Limited is my personal blog where I pontificate about web design, web standards, semantics and whatever else strikes my fancy.
